Tulip subscription bouquets will be ready for pick up at the farm the second weekend of January, February and March - to brighten your home or office. Chase away the weary-winter blues with a naturally endorphin-boosting bouquet of exuberant color.
Not your average “grocery store” tulips, I source unusual varieties, some fringed, some frilled, some double-petaled, some with unique shapes, all sure to delight! The subscription includes three 15-stem bouquets of premium, fresh, farm-grown tulips. You can choose to upgrade to add a vase, greens and accents if you wish to pick up a “table ready” arrangement. Delivery is also available for an additional charge.
Winter Tulip Experience Subscribers also receive an invitation to a special March event: Tea & Tulips (date to be announced). Step into my winter greenhouse. I’ll welcome you with a cup of tea and invite you to stroll and admire the tulips and other flowers in progress. Bring a camera, book or your knitting - and enjoy an afternoon of sunny warmth surrounded by flowers growing in my winter greenhouse. Generally closed to the public, my greenhouse will be open just for Winter Tulip Experience subscribers to enjoy.
Tulips in winter? How? In winter months when the New England landscape is devoid of color, colorful tulip blooms fill my greenhouse. By sourcing specially treated bulbs (working with another small, woman-owned business in the Northeast), I start thousands of tulips in my barn where they receive an abbreviated winter. When the bulbs are ready, I fake spring and wake them up in my greenhouse. Although labor intensive and costly (tariffs make this especially so), this process enables me to harvest tulip blooms at a time of year when we all yearn for color and spring’s arrival. I am able to grow and provide fresh-cut, sustainably grown tulips right here at my farm in mid winter. Unlike widely available imported tulip bouquets, these stems are unique varieties, harvested at just the right time - for maximum vase life.
Please note: unless delivery arrangements are made in advance, tulip bouquets must be picked up at the farm during the designated pick up weekends. Upon subscription, you will receive a confirmation email. If you wish to request delivery, please do so in an email reply. Delivery is within Franklin county - for a charge of $10 per delivery.
