I can’t imagine my garden without them. In late summer when annual blooms are waning, dahlias come on strong, providing glorious color right up until frost. Here is a curated selection of the ones we grow at our farm. Order online for pick up at the farm.

Cafe au Lait is a dinner-plate sized variety that is an essential for every dahlia lover’s garden. It’s blush-beige blooms tend to vary in color a bit throughout the season. Tall plants, they must be staked for 6-support.

Cornell Bronze is one of the most prolific bloomers of the dahlia patch. Its curved, tight petals are coppery rust, making them a good companion for marigolds, amaranth, zinnias.

Color: Rusty bronze
Hands-down, my favorite dinner-plate variety, Sierra Glow prolifically produces huge blooms of rusty salmon with streaks of raspberry in the center. This one is a show-stopper. Highly sought for fall wedding floral designs. Tall plants must be staked.
